Thanks, E. Grogan! I greatly appreciate it! Yes, that's Mt. Shasta. I used to live in Northern California. This poem was specifically referring to that area.
I lived just north of San Francisco for decades but have made trips out to Mt. Shasta area, it has an amazing energy. The Native Americans see it as the heart of the earth.
It's most certainly a beautiful area. It's majestic. I miss it dearly. I always loved San Francisco. When I was able, I truly enjoyed visiting the city. It's always been one of my cities.
Blair, this is beautiful! I wish more humans would realize how therapeutic nature is for the soul. So much to learn from it as well. Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks, Elizabeth! Yes, I really connect with God through nature, specifically Jesus. I'm a Christian. There is no place I enjoy being more than out in the wilderness. The beauty is breathtaking.
Oh My. From where did you venture, landing in my small space? You followed me. How? I found your poem, this one. It echoes my own joy found in mountain life and seashore. I too have written of places that speak to my essence, my very being. I want desperately to know I'm not alone. As rain settles in. This morning. I'm not. I am. Yet, I yearn for Ocean's peace and rage and salt mist air and sand to run through my fingers and squeeze between my toes. Sacred places. Spirit renewed.
Thank you, Blair, for finding me. For lifting my Spirit this morning.
Beautiful words! I pictured myself standing on a beach breathing in the "salt mist air". I love hearing the waves crashing in before dawn. Whenever I'm near a beach, I enjoy venturing out to see the sun rise. Thanks for your beautiful words. I followed you because I saw some of your comments on other articles and really liked what you had to say.
Thanks for your comment, Parker! Yes, I love nature as well. I have met many people in the past while journeying out into nature. I love the common bond I share with those who love nature.
Beautiful poetry and imagery, thank you! Looks like Mt. Shasta one of my favorite places.

I'm so grateful that nature speaks. That the rocks cry out. That the stars proclaim.
Even when normal words are too much, nature's language pierces our hearts. <3
